Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23, 1970 was an American actress. [1] She was Cordelia Chase, a supernatural drama show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013) and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada the daughter of Christine the bird sanctuary worker, and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is from Spanish, French, and German heritage (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was one of the students at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. [6] She also was a part of a song and dance troupe that was in the Las Vegas Valley when Carpenter was just nine years old.
Carpenter was Carpenter was 15 years old, her family relocated to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico. She then moved to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after graduating. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a video store clerk, an aerobics instructor, and as a property manager. In 1991 she was working as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team, in 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.
Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist, attacked her and two male buddies while she was swimming in San Diego in the year 1991. He tried to subdue them by using gunpoint. Both Hubbard Jr. and her friends were killed in the fight. They both survived. Hubbard was detained, convicted, sentenced to 56 years in prison for a string of rapes. Carpenter removed Hubbard's flashlight a police-issue flashlight, from the beach. He had left it on the beach. The flashlight was an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
Carpenter was named No. Carpenter was ranked as 31 on AskMen's Top 99 Most Desirable Females 2002[30]. 44 on their list of 2005. But, Carpenter has stated she is not a sex symbol. Carpenter was on the cover of Playboy magazine's June issue in 2004. She was also featured in a ten-page nude graphic. People magazine asked Carpenter in 2005 if she would ever pose again for Playboy. Carpenter said "I don’t know." Playboy was something that I did with a purpose. It was a good financial decision. It also seemed like it was the best choice for me. My son was about to be born and I had gained 50 pounds through the course of my pregnancy. I wanted to get back to my old self. I wanted to appear attractive and sexy. I thought: "What if you went completely sexy?"
