Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is better popular under her stage and screen names Gugu Mbatha Raw. The actress became famous following her appearance in "Doctor Who.' Handler began acting in order to earn income. Handler started doing stand-up comedy full-time after she reached the age of 21. She realized she has a knack for the art of storytelling. Handler's first professional gig was as part of the all-female Oxygen television show in the hidden camera comedy series Girls Behaving in a way that isn't normal. It was in air from 2002 to 2005. Handler then started appearing on other TV shows such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began working for The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler's biggest breakthrough was in 2006, after she started hosting her own show on E! It was named The Chelsea Handler Series. The Chelsea Show ran for two seasons. Handler performed on the comedy channel's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season within the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have aired her stand-up shows.
