Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the moment. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her events during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
