Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. Model as well as an Irish actor. Alison Doody first made a film debut as an actress and Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was approached by a photographer and started to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour in her modelling career. Once she caught the attention of the casting director for a James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody's name was included as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the oldest Bond actress to date. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead character in Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small part of the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene at the ceremony for awards. Her roles include the TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust as well as a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the remake she made in 2011. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. Almeria the tierra de cinema award, and an Almeria walk of fame star were presented on the 21st November 2018.
