Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended an institution called the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The year 2005 was the time she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
